Extra Curricular

picture of ballet classAt Highfield the extra activities offered really do enhance the learning that goes on in all parts of the school every day. Our rich and varied programme of extended-day activities will enable your daughter to explore different interests and discover new talents. Clubs on offer include sport and music, but also activities as diverse as judo, computer programming, gardening, Italian, football and sketching.

Whole school activities and house events ensure the girls work well together, developing a sense of teamwork and awareness of the entire school community.

A programme of visitors to the school, including academic experts, authors, illustrators, artists, inspirational speakers and charity representatives will provide your daughter with a different dimension to their daily life at Highfield, and enrich their learning experiences.

Being at school is not just about what you do in the classroom, it’s about acquiring the skills to go into society – it’s about widening horizons and showing the girls that they can be an actress or a scientist.  This is what we achieve in providing a complete education.

“From the EYFS onwards, pupils achieve high levels of knowledge, understanding and skills in curriculum subjects and extra-curricular activities. They have an extremely wide range of knowledge for their age; they are highly articulate, read confidently and are able to reason logically.” ISI  Report 2013
